Ruben Bruninx [BSC]
Ruben is from Belgium and studied Landscape and Garden Architecture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent. He works as a landscape designer at BOOM and is doing his Master Landscape Architecture at the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam. During his earlier studies, he was an intern at no less than three different agencies, which gave him early experience in different scale levels. He got learned about the larger scale level of urban planning, landscape and architecture at the Amsterdam B+B and the Antwerp Stramien and designed garden and park landscapes for Erik Dhont (Brussels). Ruben doesn’t like a job half done and immerses himself in any assignment for 200%: “I always look beyond the standard solutions and push myself to come up with a better concept than initially seems possible.” He wants to use his fascination for planting, ecology, heritage, architecture and his eye for detail to design sustainable spatial issues.
