LIA de Vries Gower [BSc]

Lia is an intern at BOOM Landscape. Born and raised in Hong Kong, she moved to the UK when she was 18 to do her Bachelor with Honours in Landscape Architecture at the University of Gloucestershire. She’s currently studying the EMiLA, the European Masters in Landscape Architecture program at Edinburgh University. As part of her program, she’s doing a semester exchange at the Academie van Bouwkunst in Amsterdam.

Her interests in Landscape Architecture center on biophilia, biomimicry and salutogenic design: particularly looking at the relationship between design and community health.

Apart from her studies, Lia does planting design and has worked at various RHS flower shows as an exhibitor. Lia has been doing archery since she was 8, and enjoys hiking, mountaineering and Pilates.
